No, not us...just the tops of the Brecons...the weather today was quite cloudy with rain forecast for the afternoon. After yesterday's rather long walk, we decided that today would be less strenuous. We started with a drive across the tops of the Brecons again...this time heading out through Trecastle and Twynllanan and up to Herbert's Quarry and down into Brynamman. Unfortunately we were really in the mist up around Herbert's Quarry so there were no views today...and finding the cache there was out of the question also.

From Brynamman we drove along the valley at the foot of the Brecons, stopping at Coelbren to visit Sgwd Henrhyd (Henrhyd Falls) which, at 27 metres, are the tallest waterfalls in the region...they also had possibly the world's steepest path to any attraction which for a rather strenuous visit...still, they were quite spectacular and well worth the struggle uphill afterwards.

This photo really doesn't show how steep the path really is... |
Continuing east, we corrected the error we made yesterday and went to visit Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf...starting from the top car park so it was a much shorter walk to just these falls. Again, quite spectacular in their own way and well worth coming back for.

After getting back to the car we continued our drive and although the threatened rain never really arrived, we decided to have an early afternoon with our journey back to the B&B taking in Penderyn, Libanus and the town of Brecon.
