To thank Diane for her hospitality, we had arranged to take her out for lunch...and for something a bit different to usual, it was the Severn Valley Railway's Lunch Train. A quick drive up the M40 had us in Kidderminster in plenty of time to board our train. Once on board, we were transported back in time to days of steam on the Great Western Railway as we settled down to a wonderful three course lunch as we gently travelled through the beautiful Severn Valley from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and back.

Back in Kidderminster once more and returned to the year 2014, we took a scenic route home through the edge of the Cotswolds along the A44.
You just had to have a train ride!
