After our tour through the Chateau d'Amboise, we decided that we would visit the town's other chateau...Chateau du Clos Luce...which was just up the street. The significance of this chateau is that was the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci. In addition the historical artifacts throughout the chateau, there very many small scale models of Leonardo's machines and inventions and a number of full-sized replicas throughout the gardens.
Rather exhausted by it all, we left for a long walk back to the station to catch our train back to Tours...without really seeing the town of Amboise itself. As for a "quiet day", we failed rather with our Fitbits recording over 19,000 steps for the day...about 2,000 more than yesterday!
